This past weekend I forced(you know as Mom’s, we are good at that – sometimes) my poor little sweet 8 Year Old – Daughter #4 to do something she did not want to do. My Aunt said “Why did you do that?”
Well you know, I have have learned in these 40 some odd years, that we should treat people like we want to be treated, and that is really a motto I live by. When people are sick – you take a meal, when people have th, you celebrate, when people get married or have a baby, you join in the celebration. And when people die, you just GO!!!
Last Thursday, Daughter #4 had a Good Buddy who lost a Big Brother at the early age of 19. Oh, I could not imagine what this family has been through. Death is not easy to deal with EVER – but Unexpected Death is a SHOCKER.
Daughter #4 and I set out to the Funeral Home in Auburn on Saturday. When we walked in, this precious little 8 Year Old was lost in a sea of BIG PEOPLE. When she saw Daughter #4 and realized this person was here to see her, she lit up!!! They talked and sat and Daughter #4 did alot of listening.
On the way home my Daughter #4 said, “Mom why was she not sad??” I said, “Sweetie you made her happy!”
