Well a little over 17 years ago I got married…and 16 years ago I became a mother. Through some very unfortunate circumstances, but very fortunate for me, I became a mother.  God decided it was time for Daughter #1 to come and live with us.  He choose ME to be her MOTHER!  It was a whirlwind of a week back then, but has been the ride of a LIFETIME. 

Tomorrow is Daughter #1’s Birthday!  Time has flown by.  I honestly think be blinked and she was grown!  Just seems like yesterday we were celebrating 13!!

Happy Birthday to one of the MOST INCREDIBLE BLESSINGS GOD has ever given to me!!!  I love you more than you will ever know and am so glad you call me MOMMA!!

Wow – it is time to put away my sandals and capri pants…now most of you that know me know that my wardrobe will surely suffer now.  The change of season is always tough in a house of so many girls.   Organizing clothes and shoes for the change of season and tend to be a bit taxing!!  Let’s just say that for the past two days (we have been rather busy traveling from state to state and here to there for a funeral and business meeting) we have arrived to our destination and #4 has had no shoes!  The confusion of coats and long sleeves and changing to not look like a Raga Muffin…we let’s just say that we have traveled a few extra miles to put shoes on her feet.  #4 is also not real good at following directions…not to mention she takes her own sweet time to do everything!

Wow – time does fly.  Daughter #1 will soon be 28!  Daughter #2 started High School time year.  Daughter #3 will finally stay at home alone (for a limited time!) and Daughter #4 is 9.  Can you believe it?  I saw a dear old friend of Daughter #1’s last night and we joked around about a day( that seems like it was just yesterday)…a day that God Blessed us with another Little Girl.  We were laughing about how quickly EVERYONE dashed into the room after she made her GRAND ENTRANCE into this world! 

Happy Birthday Baby Girl (she will always be my baby girl, just like she sayd she is gonna live with us FOREVER!  And I am not complaining!!)

What a fun day this was!!  God has blessed us with so many AWESOME things over these 17 years!!

Well it is FRIDAY!  Another week and August is almost over.  August has been a full month.  Daughter #1 continues to work herself CRAZY, Daughter #2 is loving HIGH SCHOOL, Daughter #3 has a new found love for reading (it’s about time!), and Daughter #4, my baby is almost 9 years old (Next Saturday!)

Today as I think about life and where I am, I so very Blessed!  And to think, one of my biggest fears was never having Children! HA!

Tomorrow is a big day and I will save that for tomorrow!  Have a great weekend.

High School - Here She Comes!!!

Well, we have met the Teachers, picked out our clothes for tomorrow, Organized all the school supplies (with NO help from Staples!) and now it is time to start the last OFFICIAL day of summer.  Hummmmm – what will we do??  Just wondering if any of these kiddos will get up to enjoy this last day?

Wow – this summer has flown by!!!  I must apologize for my Slack Blogging Habits this summer.  My summer has been full of  fun times with my girls – ALL of them!!  Had a blast with #1, 2, 3 and 4!!!  We just got back from the Annual Adams Family Beach Blast in Myrtle Beach.  It is always so good to spend time with family.  School starts here in a little over a week!

I am soooo sorry – I sat down to blog on June 9th and my time got away from me!!  June 9th 1995 – my life changed FOREVER!!  My precious Daughter #2 was born!!  To set the pace of this story…let me tell you that timeliness was not the case at this time in our lives.  Daughter #2 was actually due on May 24th!!  During this time, I was also getting Daughter #1 ready to leave for a 4 week Mission Trip to Honduras on June 10 on top of being on bed rest for 6 weeks!! 

She finally arrived after induction on that Friday in June!!  We named her after The Only Guy in the House’s Mom!!  Shortly after Daughter #2 was born, we called my dear sweet Mother-In-law to the door of my room.  New Daddy had the baby in his arms and we gave the news of her namesake (she had no clue!)  She took the baby and proceded to carry her down the hall to the nursery and was not gonna let anyone else do it!!

One thing  I love about blogging is that it is another mode of communication to ask people to pray.  A dear friend of mine (who also happens to be one of my Blog Mentors) is dealing with a HUGE unexpected mess this week. 

She got a call from her parents on Monday – one of those calls we never forget.  They called to tell her that her younger brother had died.  Death is not easy to deal with in any way, but he was murdered.  The paper says that he might have been familiar with his killer, so therefore, this is NOT CONSIDERED A RANDOM ACT OF VIOLENCE!!  I am sorry but VIOLENCE is VIOLENCE!

The man who murdered him has been arrested, and now they family has, well we all who have lost someone know, to say a final good-bye.

You know God ALWAYS fixes things that are broken…one way or another.  He NEVER ceases to amaze me.  We have had a mess on our hands and Daughter #2 has suffered because of this mess.  I pray daily and try not to worry that it is not too late for her.  We have been dealing with a huge challenge in the form of a teacher this year.  I thank you all for your prayers, as many of you have been in constant prayer about this situation.  GOD ALWAYS PREVAILS!!  Now, we will just hold our breathe for our CRCT scores to arrive.  I am thrilled to tell you that by the end of this week Daughter #2 can walk back into her classroom – ABUSE FREE!!!
